Nerdist's chemical Teaparty.

Here's the finished commission I did for Chis Hardwick's popgeeky blog, Nerdist! There's cool art there also by Carlos Ramos (former teacher, former boss) and Lauren Gregg.

It's Seratonin and Dopamine
The Rockstars of neurotransmitters
Having a Tea Party
On your brain.

I took screencaps from sketch to final as I worked on this. I love working out composition in photoshop because I can experiment all along the way.

What does your brain think of it? Go read Nerdist and get it fed!

Puddlejump

Rainy April theme for Girls Drawing Girls. I couldn't turn this one around as fast as the Cleo. But I am happy that it looks sufficiently wet.
Ducks better.... be aware of the position of their heads!

Cleographica - GDG - Selecta

My go at the Girls Drawin Girls weekly theme - Cleopatra.
I tried to turn it around fast and graphic! Flash with a tiny touch of Photoshop. I can't resist.

And I like seeing thumbnails so maybe you do to:

Also, a sneaky peek at the Selecta t-shirt, that will be available as a very limited run this summer. Lady dj's get first dibs!

Selecta is the patron saint of Dj's. She brings the perfect record to the front of your crate. She always gives two choices.
Springy Cheers!

Crane and Otter

In February there was some rain, and I wanted to draw some critters that don't mind getting wet.
The crane is Time, and the Otter is Space.
It's layers and layers of shapes and textures photoshopped to precision.

This piece made it's debut at the Nickeleodon Eco-lodeon show! Comedian/supernerd/voice actor Chris Hardwick bought it, and made my week!
This is the first piece I am experimenting with prints on. I'm making big 16x20 Glicee poster prints on heavy matte photo paper. Contact me at kelly@inkplay.net if you're interested.

Swim the puddles.

It was like... some kind of wrestling MANIA!

Havin a slow monday?
Maybe some gypsies will help you out.

No? Ok. Wrestlers.
